The DFW convention center was once a bustling downtown hub that was a staple of the Dallas area, but has since fallen into disrepair and disrepair continues to plague the facility.
The hotel and convention center are still in a state of disrepair, but it’s only getting worse.
The Dallas Morning News recently broke the story that the hotel is suffering from $6.8 million in repairs.
The damage is severe enough that the facility’s security is being forced to temporarily close, with attendees being allowed to stay at hotels, but they have been forbidden from bringing in food or drinks.
In addition to the hotel’s problems, the Dallas City Council recently approved a $500,000 increase to the city’s rent to pay for repairs.
We’ve heard stories of hotels that have been completely gutted and then had to be demolished, but the cost of the hotel renovation will probably be even higher than the $6 million price tag.
