Long Beach, California (CNN) “We’re still exploring every avenue,” a spokesman for the hotel chain said.
“The negotiations are ongoing.”
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported on Wednesday that the hotel is still pursuing other options in California, including a deal with Universal Pictures.
It’s unclear how the negotiations with the company are progressing.
It was reported in February that MGM Resorts International, which owns the Vegas Strip, had offered to buy MGM for $4 billion.
The news comes a day after the Review-Journos revealed it had received a new report saying MGM would be leaving the state.
